General classes

We offer a range of different classes for school age and above from General, Acrobatics, Tumbling and Display Gymnastics. Gymnastics is a good base sports and helps your child’s coordination, balance, strength, flexibility and confidence.  We are members of British Gymnastics and take part in Club, County, Regional, National and International competition’s and events. As a club we hold an annual in house competition and bi annual show which all members are able to take part in.

Gymnastics For All (GFA)

These classes are a great starting point which cover a bit of all areas of gymnastics including flexibility, floor skills, trampoline & rebound, vault, bars and beam.

Teens & Collingwood class

For secondary school age children and above, Very similar to GFA but in these classes all participants get a say in what they would like to learn with some free time to learn this skills.

Advanced GFA

These classes are for selected children learning slightly more advanced skills than the GFA. Participants learn the basics of Acrobatics and tumbling in these classes as well as all the GFA apparatus. They will be invited to take part in County and Regional competitions.

Tumbling

This is linked floor elements along one straight line. Beginner classes start learning to link their rolls, cartwheels & round off’s while also learning back flics, handsprings and somersaults. Advance classes work on linking row’s of flic’s and whip’s while learning a variation of somersaults. Both beginner and advanced tumblers can compete in County, Regional and National events.

Acro Class

Learning to work with others learning basic balances and routines working on body preparation and floor skills as well as partner balances. Participants will be able to take part in Regional level  Acro competitions.

Display B Team

This class is for selected children. Participants work on routines together which include partner balances, floor skills, dance and tumbling. They will be expected to take part in National GymFusions, local fates and displays and are able to take part in some acro and tumbling competitions.

Advance Mini squad

Boys and Girls age 4-7 years train a minimum of twice a week (3 hours) learning basic skills flexibility and body preparation ready for one of squad or advanced classes.  They are expected to take part in all club competitions and shows and some County or Regional competitions.
